Thailand is in the process of repositioning itself from a manufactured-based country to trading nation, into a service trade provider and investor country. Accordingly, the DEP worldwide network constantly seeks opportunities of offering new and more extensive services which benefit both Thai and international businessmen.

General services

The Department provides a comprehensive range of services for Thai exporters and international investors wishing to do business with Thailand. Acting as a one-stop service center, the department provides trade information, advisory services, market analysis, updates in international trade issues and regulations, business networking service, and data on Thai products and manufacturers. The department helps to find suitable trade partners and logistics service providers to reduce logistic costs for Thai products, and organizes seminars and workshops for traders.

International activities

In its ongoing pursuit if worldwide market expansion, the Department has a year round programme of promotional activities for export products, including organizing international trade fairs in Thailand (www.thaitradefair.com), participating in trade fairs overseas as well as arranging trade mission to targeted markets.

Offshore investment

The DEP offers various support activities to assist Thai businessmen wishing to expand abroad, especially in the areas of subcontracting, Greenfield investment, franchising and licensing. International entrepreneurs interested in these areas can contact the nearest Office of Commercial Affairs.

Regional and global network

The 5 Regional Trade Promotion Centers in Bangkok, the North, the Northeast, The South and the East and 56 Offices of Commercial Affairs / Thai Trade Centers worldwide complete the linkage between local manufacturers and international traders and enables DEP to efficiently and professionally provide one-stop service worldwide.
