Imagine a mega sized garage-like space that is jam-packed with auto parts and tools, as well as plenty of experienced mechanics, car gurus and dealers to help you finding everything you need for your car. Situated in the old inner area of Bangkok, Worachak has been Thailand's centre for auto parts and car accessories for the past 60 years. This area is teaming with literally hundreds of old and semi-new shop houses, mostly run by long established Chinese families. Their businesses started with the buying and selling of used spare parts of Japanese vehicles that were left behind after WWII, and eventually expanded into importing rare auto parts and accessories from Japan, Europe and North America. To get there by public transportation, take the MRT and get off at Hua Lumpong Station. Walk from the east end of Chinatown towards Worachak Road. It's hard to miss this area with bevy of signage just above every existing car logo in the world, both past and present!
